THE FIRST SNOWDROPS peeping through and a mild frost covering all the box shapes in the garden; the hellebores in full flower and the new shoots of daffodils and tulips breaking through the soil are all signs that Winter is at its height. But, the days are lengthening and the primroses are bursting into life again which also means that Spring is just around the corner.
Visitors to the Coastal Barn are enjoying the wood burner and requests for more logs are plentiful. So, a chance to unwind with walks through the valley to the sea in bright winter sunshine and blue skies. Then a return home again to the Barn to a roaring fire and whatever takes your fancy in the way of hot toddies, wines or tea and scones. And visits to the pub in between, maybe? Stormy seas, foamy waves and the wonder of star filled skies. A happy way to bring in January and make the spirit of New Year last.
