APPLE & BLACKBERRY CRUMBLE - Come and Get It at WELCOMBE COASTAL BARN

AUTUMN HAS ARRIVED on cue on the first day of September.  Which means that the hedgerow harvest of blackberries, sloes, and wild rose hips can begin in earnest.  And, the apples are ripe for picking and in abundance.

So, after the day's activity - whether walking the coast path, or hiking through woods and on the footpaths of Welcombe or cycling around the green lanes of the Hartland Peninsula, or wet suited body boarding in a still warm sea, or horse riding on the beach courtesy of "Welcombe Equine" followed by supping local ale in the village pub  - come back to your retreat of Welcombe Coastal Barn with your foraged blackberries, then pick some apples from our trees and make yourself a homely crumble.  Then eat it, with clotted cream of course, in front of a blazing wood burner and with candles glowing!  A recipe for a successful day all in all you might think.  And, you might well be right.
